45 names added to Watervliet veterans memorial

WATERVLIET >> There were 45 names added to Ryan Shazier Jersey the monument in Veterans Memorial Park on Monday.

The latest plaque dedication recognized those who had served in various conflicts throughout recent history including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War, along with Afghanistan, Beirut, Lebanon, Granada, and Panama.

Joseph Crowley Jr. served for 24 years in the Air Force, but was specifically honored on the wall for his service during the Vietnam War when he worked at a test base for planes used in conflict. His mother, Mary, had applied with the city to recognize him on the wall.

A graduate of Watervliet High School, Crowley, 61, grew up in Watervliet but now lives in nearby Cohoes. He Authentic David Fales Jersey was stationed in locations ranging from Delaware to Korea.

Applications will be available in city hall and new names will be added on Memorial Day of 2018.
